1How it works
You connect a Stripe account in your LLC's name. Your client opens the invoice link and pays by card without leaving the page. The charge is made on your Stripe account, so the money lands in your Stripe balance and is paid out to your bank by Stripe. Invollc never holds the money. When the payment succeeds, Stripe tells Invollc and the payment is added to the invoice, which turns Paid if the balance is covered.
2Connect Stripe
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Stripe and click Connect.
- Stripe opens its own onboarding page. Fill in your LLC's details (US company, EIN, bank account). Invollc does not see these.
- When Stripe approves card payments, the status turns active and the pay button appears on your invoices.
You also get your own full Stripe dashboard, where you see payouts, receipts and disputes.
3What the client sees
A Pay by card button on any invoice that is sent, not void, not paid, with a balance due. The amount is the remaining balance in the invoice currency. Accepted: credit and debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Bank debits and buy-now-pay-later options are switched off.
4Fees
Stripe charges its normal card fees on your account. Invollc does not add a fee on top of your clients' payments.
5Refunds and disputes
Handle refunds and disputes in your Stripe dashboard. Invollc does not issue refunds. After a refund, remove the payment from the invoice so the balance is right again (see undo a match).
