Comparison
Invollc vs QuickBooks Online
For someone who runs a US LLC from outside the US. What each one does well, what it costs, and when you should pick QuickBooks instead.
The short answer
QuickBooks is full double-entry bookkeeping for US businesses: chart of accounts, bank feeds from thousands of banks, payroll, sales tax. If your accountant keeps your books in QuickBooks, they will probably want it to stay that way.
Invollc is built for the foreign owner of a US LLC: invoices in the client's currency with the dollar value saved, Mercury and Stripe payments matched, the Form 5472 records, LLC deadlines, partners and K-1s, and your accountant checking the tax documents. From $9 a month.

When QuickBooks is the better choice
- You have employees on a US payroll.
- You sell physical products and collect US sales tax in several states.
- Your accountant already keeps your books in QuickBooks and wants full double-entry accounts.
- You need inventory, purchase orders or project costing.
When Invollc fits better
- You live outside the US and the LLC sells services to clients around the world.
- You bank with Mercury and get paid by card through Stripe.
- Your yearly worry is Form 5472, or Form 1065 and the K-1s if you have partners.
- You want your accountant to check the tax documents, not rebuild them from a folder of PDFs.
Or use both
Plenty of people invoice and keep the LLC records in Invollc, and their accountant does the books in QuickBooks. Invoices, payments and expenses export as CSV, and the year-end pack has everything in one ZIP.
