1Repeat an invoice
Open an invoice you already sent, click More → Repeat automatically and choose:
- how often: every month, every 3 months or every year;
- the date of the first new invoice, and optionally a date to stop;
- whether to email it to the client straight away, and in which language (English, Italian, Spanish or French).
The client, currency, lines, notes, payment details and payment terms are copied from that invoice. Changing or deleting the original invoice later does not change the schedule.
2What happens on each date
Every morning (UTC) Invollc creates the invoices that are due: same lines, the next invoice number, today's date, and the same number of days to pay as the original. With email on, it goes out from your own email address and the invoice is marked sent. Without it, or if your email settings stop working, the invoice waits as a draft and the schedule shows why.
If the server could not run for a few days, Invollc creates one invoice and moves to the next date. It never sends a burst of invoices for the days it missed.
Recurring invoices count towards the monthly invoice limit of the Starter plan. When the limit is reached, the invoice is not created that day and the schedule shows the reason.
3Pause, change or stop
All schedules are listed at the top of the Invoices page, with the next date, the amount and how many invoices each one has created. Pause and resume them there. Resuming a schedule whose date has passed starts again from today. Deleting a schedule keeps the invoices it already created.
4Automatic reminders
Turn on Automatic reminders in Settings → Preferences. For every unpaid LLC invoice, Invollc emails the client 3, 7 and 14 days after the due date, once each. An invoice that is already 20 days late when you turn this on gets one reminder, not three.
The reminder shows the amount still due and a button to open the invoice; if card payments are on, the button says View and pay by card. It is sent from your own email address, in the language of the last email you sent for that invoice, and it appears on the invoice timeline.
Reminders and recurring invoices need your email settings (Settings → Email). Invollc never sends them from its own address.
